Sheryl Kaleo (kah-leh-oh)   Sheryl spent her childhood building sandcastles on the beaches of the Caribbean. Monsters from the mysterious depths of the ocean were always on hand to storm the ramparts or stop by for a quick chat with space-conquering aliens. These days, she spends her second childhood writing young adult science-fiction and supernatural romances peppered with a spicy marinade of multicultural folklores and myths. She’s won a few awards, helped run a critique group or two, has a tech degree and art training. When she’s not writing, or reading, or reading about writing, or drawing, or geeking, she heads out on real-life adventures with her family in their very own zombie-apocalypse Jeep. She lives in the northeast, where it’s too cold in the winter and almost perfect in the summer. She’d love to hear from you at sherylkaleo @ gmail.com OR Twitter @sherylkaleo. Props to  Sal Graceffa for the photo. Check out his portfolio when you get a chance.
